This site deals with ways that individuals and groups can mitigate global warming.

We do not believe the cause is yet lost - but we have a feeling we are too close to that point for comfort.

We are aware that the problem is almost overwhelming for us to address as individuals. It can look at times like the ability to make a meaningful dent in the problem is the domain only of governments and perhaps large corporations.

Nevertheless, we are convinced that individuals acting directly in their daily lives can make a difference - because there are millions of us.

The uniqueness of the Screaming Earth Sustainability Initiative is that its scope (see our categories of involvement in the tabs across the top of this page) is as broad as the interests of all of us who are involved, yet its focus is sharp and intense - sustainability as a counterattack on global warming.

By the way, there is nothing to "join" - this is a place for people who want to learn, dialogue, and act - individually and together. If we do this, we can make a difference.
